I was on business trip in Nairobi in the month of June and opted to stay at the Utalii Hotel.I received great services and accommodation was exactly what I needed at a very affordable rate. I think the hotel requires some renovation but it was perfect for me.

A very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel just outside Nairobi city centre. It’s a training hotel so most of the staff are hospitality students. Sometimes this means slightly less efficient service but everyone is professional, polite and welcoming. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with good bathrooms and excellent beds. Very clean, even though the hotel itself could do with some modernising. The gym and spa on site are very good and the large swimming pool was never busy. They do a good breakfast buffet and very decent evening food, with a wide range of options. At the time of staying the lift wasn’t working, and there are a lot of stairs. This is a rather quiet, old fashioned hotel in the heart of Nairobi City. It is a training hotel for the Utalii hospitality college. The gate entrance is well secured.Reception is warm and the reception hold is quite comfy and personal. The staff are quite professional and helpful. The buffet kind of style for all the meals is refreshing.They try to have variety,i especially loved the fruits section.the dining has some music playing in the evenings and is quite appropriate and soothing for that time of the day.They serve dinner till 10 p.m,which is a plus.The cakes for dessert are quite yummy and melts in the mouth. The rooms are fabulous,i have never seen anything like that..clean,neat and the bathroom offers a variety of items(shower gel,shampoo,hand and body lotion,soap e that is friendly to the skin and not too scented.There is an iron box and board,fridge should you need to use them. My room overlooked the grounds that has beautiful scenic view(overlooks a swimming pool and the palm fronds..just heavenly. All in all i felt VIP..from the attention and what they have to offer,they beat the 5 star hotels in town...

Its prices are quite fair, swimming pool n health club very good too. Staff attitude should be checked on a little bit but the air coming from the environment very fresh and the green grass good for photo shoots.
